CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA880 (Black / Blue) Desktop Review, Does This Gaming PC Suck?
I know how it can be when your looking for a gaming PC and you are on a tight budget. Heck I’m always trying to find the best deals out there…because I’m cheap! Best bang for buck items. Whether this is your first gaming PC or just a new upgrade you are going to want to know if its worth purchasing.
Now normally I recommend building your own gaming PC for a few reasons. #1 It’s fun #2 You pick out each individual part so you know quality hardware was used #3 Likely more future proof #4 yes you can still do it for under $500 (comparing it to this CyberpowerPC) and #5 IT’S FUN!!!!
There are a lot more reasons but i’m not going to go into it that deep here and now. The point is doing your own build is my normal recommendation but if this is your very first gaming PC ever or you just don’t feel like going through the work then buying a pre made machine is still a good option. It can also be a good stepping stone into the world of PC creation.

The Good Schtuff, Awesome Sauce
OK. So my first thoughts are that I have always loved AMD Processors, especially for the lower end priced budget builds. I have never had a problem with one and can tell you the brand is a solid alternative to Intel. Everything else hardware wise is pretty good and standard for this price range.
I think 1TB of storage is a decent amount for you to store your stuff on and the 8GB or RAM is plenty. I know it could seem like 8GB might not be enough but it is for the foreseeable future. The thing is, if it DOES happen to not be enough that will be far down the road enough to where you can either upgrade it or maybe even at that point you just want a new PC. Who knows what the future holds.
On to the GPU now… the most important part of the machine for a gamer… the GeForce GT720 1GB isn’t too bad of a little card. I’d say you could get away with playing most games on medium settings with some of the more graphic intensive games played on toned down settings and the less intensive games played on higher settings. Your foes shall stand no chance!
I could go on and on about the good stuff but I will end it with this. I think the black Cooler Master case is actually pretty sweet and I love the blue LED’s and the side window. Another BIG plus is the fact that CyberpowerPC threw in a keyboard and mouse into the deal. This is saving you between $35 and $50.
The Not So Good, Lame Sauce
Alright well there is always a flip side of the coin with this budget gaming PC. The only real downside I am seeing is that it seems a few people have had issues with the power supply on this machine. Now just because they have had issues doesn’t mean you will but it means there is a possibility.
In my experience with computers, power supplies are one of the things that goes out from time to time. If you buy this CyberpowerPC I wouldn’t sweat it too much because if the power supply does dies on you it is pretty darn easy to replace one and really inexpensive. You could have a quality replacement for maybe $40 to $50 or under. You can check out what other people have said by clicking the link below.

Thanks for reading my CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA880 (Black / Blue) Desktop Review all the way up to this point and I truly hope I was able to help you on your path to gaming greatness! All in all I think you are getting a pretty dang good deal for the price. There is a little hesitation with the power supply but honestly any computer could possibly have the same issues down the road. I would just keep it in mind if you do purchase this one.

This guy thinks you should replace the power supply right away. I tend to disagree and take the “if it aint broke dont fix it” approach. But heck it could save some time down the road. He does go on to say that he loved the computer and it was a good buy. I added this video in so you could see the machine up close and personal. He does a pretty good job. If you would rather build your own PC you can check out this $600 build I setup that performs better and costs less than the GUA880.
